Sharon City School District is proud to announce that SHS students Umneya Karakra and Shahed Kanan have been accepted into the Mercer County Career Center’s National Technical Honor Society and will be inducted into the Society on November 5, 2020. Congratulations to both students and their families.
The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture has announced that the program which allows District's to provide free breakfast and lunch to all school students has now been extended through June 30, 2021.
The Sharon City School District is offering a free breakfast and free lunch to every child ages 0 to 18 years old for every school day. In-person students will use the cafeteria as usual, students attending virtually may pick up a full breakfast and lunch at Sharon High School between 9:15 - 9:45 am, or Case Ave. Elementary, West Hill Elementary or CM Musser Elementary between 9:30 – 10:00 am all free of charge! We encourage all families to take advantage of this great program.

Data collection for the 2020 US Census is ending tomorrow. As of today, well over 99.9% of housing units have been accounted for in the 2020 Census. Self-response and field data collection operations for the 2020 Census will conclude on October 15, 2020. If you have not yet completed your Census form please do so today! Just a reminder that Sharon Middle/High School will be continuing to administer the Keystone tests will over the next two days. Thursday will be for Algebra and Friday be the Biology exam. Any student who is required to take the test must come to the school. Keystone tests can not be completed online. Everyone received a letter indicating which exam you must take. Directly below the name of the exam was the room number that you will report too. If it says "Virtual" under the name of the exam - that means you are not required to take the assessments and you are to stay home and work on your classes work virtually. Testing will begin promptly at 9am. You must wear a mask during this assessment and be dress code compliant. Bring your computer with you as you will have time to log in and do some work so you can stay caught up on your classes. Be sure to get plenty of rest and do your best. Good Luck.

Attention Students and Parents:
Tutoring for those students who need extra help within core classes is currently being held. Tutoring is offered after school from 3:00-4:00 PM with a certified teacher within each specific content area. Tutoring is open to all students grades 7-12. Those students within athletics and clubs are encouraged to attend tutoring.
The tutoring schedule for the month of October is posted on the Sharon City School Districts website at www.sharonsd.org under the Middle School and High School websites-Click on the orange tab-M/HS Tutoring Calendar. It is also available in teachers’ classrooms and in the hallways on each floor in the Middle/High School. For those students in athletics or clubs-eligibility is run every Friday at 10:00 AM. Students are asked to check with their coach or club advisor for their updated eligibility.
